NCJA staff will review and discuss Congressional activities that will affect state, local, and tribal criminal justice policy makers and practitioners. This discussion will include the status of the FY2009 appropriations for the federal criminal justice assistance programs including the Byrne JAG Program, OJJDP formula and block grant programs, the Violence Against Women Act grant programs, the Victims of Crime Act programs, and the COPS program.
